What are High Peak’s credentials as a provider of quality hunting experiences?
High Peak is a founding member of the New Zealand Association of Game Estates (NZAGE), New Zealand’s only recognised standard for hunting properties. All our guides are members of the New Zealand Professional Hunting Guides Association (NZPHGA) and we have 25 years’ experience in the industry.
How does the quality of your hunting rate against others?
Our 4500-acre game estate is one of the largest in the country and is ranked among the best by respected industry veterans. It is the jewel in the High Peak crown. Our free-range hunts are conducted exclusively on private properties nearby and in the adjacent Southern Alps.
Do you offer any guarantees on your hunting experiences?

How many people hunt on High Peak at any given time?
High Peak operates a strict one-client-at-a-time policy for all clients seeking stags 350 SCI or above. This means you get 100% of the land, animals and staff on offer.
Who owns High Peak and where do you source your Game Estate animals from?
High Peak has been 100% owned by the Guild family since 1973. We manage our own game herds of Red Deer, Fallow, Arapawa Sheep, Alpine Goat and Chamois. This means no broker fees or outfitter margins. Wapiti and stags with special characteristics are sourced from trusted local properties as and when required.
How many hunts do you host each year?
High Peak aims to host 15 hunting parties per year on a one-party-at-a-time basis. We aim to keep numbers low and quality scrupulously high. Therefore, space in our calendar can be scarce and we encourage advance enquiries.

Are you expensive?
We represent excellent value to the right client. We are priced toward the upper end of the New Zealand market, but this is not expensive to the client who knows the bitter taste of a bad experience lasts a lot longer than the quick thrill of a cheap deal.

High Peak hosts clients from all over the world with the majority coming from the USA, Western & Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East.
