High Peak Game Estate

Our game estate is one of the largest and most established private game hunting reserves in New Zealand. Bordered by High Peak Station to the South, the Selwyn River to the East and native bush-clad alpine ranges to the North and West, the 4500-acre estate offers one of the best cross-sections of South Island hunting land in a completely private, secluded area. Whether you are here to hunt a trophy red stag or simply take in the ambience of majestic game animals in a natural, wide-open space, the game estate is a great place to spend some quality time.

Founded in 1989, High Peak Game Estate became the first game estate to be audited under the then-new New Zealand Association of Game Estates process in 1997. More recently however, the Guild family has implemented a major change – from providing wholesale services to contracted outfitters and agents to now managing a fully-integrated destination for our own customers. Brothers Hamish and Simon Guild have now assumed management of aspects of the family business, providing the resource required to create our own, unique brand of quality experiences.
