New Zealand Association of Game Estates
Since our entry into the New Zealand hunting industry in the late 1980s, we have been committed to upholding best practice in all aspects of the . A founding member of the New Zealand Association of Game Estates (NZAGE), High Peak principal James Guild became the founding president in 1997 and has held this position since.
The NZAGE was set up in 1997 by the owners of New Zealand’s private hunting properties to represent their interests to government, other associated organizations and in the absence of government regulation, to set and maintain standards for the managed hunting industry. The Association has established Industry Agreed Standards (IAS) and each member property is audited to these standards by an independent authority. The standards cover matters such as environmental impact, animal welfare, containment (fencing) standards, animal health, disease surveillance, client safety and hunting conduct. The IAS is constantly updated and member properties are re-audited regularly.
High Peak Game Estate was a foundation member of the NZAGE, the first property audited against the IAS, and the first to achieve NZ Animal Health Board and NZ Food Safety Authority registration.
The NZAGE is New Zealand estate hunting’s industry standard and forms a vital part of our assurance to our clients.
