For the hunter in pursuit of a record-class red stag trophy, Rakaia Premium is the classification accorded by us to those animals that are exceptional through their score, antler mass and aesthetic appeal. At High Peak, all Rakaia Premium stags currently exceed a Safari Club International (SCI) score of 400 points.

Since the early twentieth century, the Rakaia herd has held a special mystique in New Zealand’s deer stalking heritage.Our game herd is based on the Rakaia bloodline and has been managed for over thirty years to produce superior trophies. Rakaia Premium stags are the elite animals produced annually through our game-management practices and availability is thus very limited.
